We've Got Answers 〰️

  • Yes! We love to call these introductory appointments. You will meet and be introduced with the therapist you are interested in working with for 15-minutes (free) to meet, ask questions, and hear how they work in therapy.

When you reach out via contact form, by phone, or via email, we will help get you connected with the therapist for this appointment today!

  • We are not in-network with insurance companies. However, For out-of-network mental health services, you can typically be reimbursed a portion of the session fee, often ranging from 50% to 80%, depending on your insurance plan and policy.

For example: if you are seeing a therapist at $120, you would be reimbursed between $60-96 of that appointment which ends up being almost similar to a co-pay for an in-network provider.

Here are the options we offer at Better Minds:

    • Out-of-pocket pay (aka private pay, self-pay),

    • Out-of-Network via us providing Superbills

(we can provide a form that walks you through the steps to know if you have out-of-network mental health benefits),

Those with a PPO plan (Preferred Provider Organization) then you will most likely have out-of-network benefits, which means you will get reimbursed for therapy,

    • Group therapy (lower cost than individual therapy),

For finding out if you have out-of-network benefits and what the reimbursement would be for you, you can call the behavioral health/mental health number on the back of your insurance card or please contact us and we will share a resource to guide you through this process.

  • Fees vary by therapist. The best way to learn of associated therapy fees is to check out our therapist page here.

If interested in group therapy, the fees can be found on this page.

  • Each group therapy session is $50.

You can view the list of our group therapy offerings here.

  • Allowing for convenience, flexible scheduling, and reducing the burden of travel, we offer virtual therapy to those in:

    • Delaware,

    • Maryland,

    • New Jersey,

    • Pennsylvania,

    • Virginia.

Here you can find which therapist is able to practice in each of those states.

  • We primarily provide online therapy (aka teletherapy or telehealth appointments). We find this allows for ease of scheduling and lessens the burden of travel to appointments. Offering virtual therapy also allows you to truly select who you wish to work with in therapy.

At times, there are opportunities to meet in-person with your therapist based upon location and scheduling. This will often look like walk-and-talk therapy. Confidentiality and other considerations will be reviewed on an individual basis.
